Welcome to the Royal Engineers Bomb Disposal 75th Anniversary  BD75logo

In 2015 we mark the 75th Anniversary of Royal Engineers Bomb Disposal, Now called Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD).

101 (City of London) Engineer Regiment (EOD) and it's Association will play their part in the commemoration and celebration of this Anniversary.

In recent months the Regiment and the Association have attended a series funerals for members of Royal Engineers Bomb Disposal who performed acts of courage and heroism on more or less a daily basis during WW2, and we are in the process of redeveloping our 'In Memoriam' information so that their stories can be told, and remembered with the respect they deserve on this website.

A series of Events is to be held over the course of the coming year starting in July 2014 and culminating in a service at St Pauls Cathedral in October 2015. Some of these events are open to the public, others are restricted to serving and ex-serving members of Bomb Disposal.

Keep an eye on our BD75 Events Calendar below for the latest information on the series of events where BD75 will represented.

Our History Research Committee Members led by Maj Phil Davis QVRM TD have put together a brief written summary of 75 Years of Royal Engineers Bomb Disposal. Credit goes to James Latch for researching and compiling the unedited copy.
